Last night we had our monthly badmitton tournament, with the whole family.  It is a tradition that we started in May and we have been really good about getting together and playing and visiting.  we played over in Spanish Fork so after the tournament I decided that I would run home back to Salem.  I knew that it would be close to 7 miles to get back home so I decided I would break it up into a 2 mile warm up and then a 3 mile tempo run at about a 6:30 pace.

mile 1 7:11

mile 2 7:09

mile 3 6:34 - dodging cars along powerhouse road... and getting dark

mile 4 6:28 - starting to get a side ache from all of the water melon and water I drank while palying badmitton.

mile 5 decided not to continue with the tempo and backed off to get rid of side ache. 7:23

mile 6 7:24

mile 7 7:41

Legs felt great and breathing was good, I hate running at night on a full stomach.

Good job getting as far along as you did. I've had this same problem running at night with too much food still in the gut and I've rarely had a decent evening run. Man I wish I could hit those low 7 min paces as easy as you seem to.

Good Job Hun!! Speaking of night running, did you talk to your mom about watching the boys tonight so that we could go and run? Let me know what you come up with. Hope you have a good day. Oh, Did you go to Baja Cantina while in PC?? I am craving the fluata's, a little deep fried goodness!!(That is probably a swear word on the FRB, he he). Okay, talk to you later. Love ya~

Nice tempo splits.

I do not do well on evening runs either.
