Met at Maple Mtn High School at 4:45 am and Desi drove us up to the top of the left hand fork of Hobble Creek.  Plan was to run for 30 min and then start my 3x2 mile intervals with a 1 mile recovery.  If I was feeling "frisky" I was allowed to run 4 of these and I was feeling good after the 3rd one but with my sub par week of running because of early morning work meetings I chose to only run 3 of the intervals.

2 mile 12:27.30 (6:12 pace)

2 mile 12:35.36 (6:17 pace)

2 mile 12:33.19 (6:15 pace)

I needed to do these at 1/2 marathon pace which based on a 1:23:30 flat half time would be 6:23.  I did these a little faster than that but I think that is close enough.  The light on my Garmin won't work I hope it is just a glitch!!  Finished the last 4 miles back to the High School and had to run one lap around the track to hit 4 miles!

Those paces are good, because of the downhill-ness of Hobble Creek. Next time you could even go a bit faster, so long the feel is HM pace.
