Ran at 5:00 am this morning.  Ran into Mac, we ran 6 together and then she left and ran around pretty little road.  I needed to get back home so that Kellie could go.  After I left Mac I ran 2 miles fast back to the house.

Mile 7  - 6:15

Mile 8 - 6:12

ave pace for 6 miles - 7:47.

PM - Went Mtn biking with some guys from the Ward.  We rode 3 miles up the gas line trail in Payson Canyon.  It is 3 miles of uphill climbing, this was the first time that I have been mtn biking in 2 years.  It was fun, but very hard at the same time.  I am counting 4 easy miles.  It was 6 round trip but I am counting 3 for the uphill and only 1 for the downhill.  I never really ran out air, but legs really started buring on some of the climbing.

Good job, I'm going to predict that you'll run Ogden at least a minute faster than Hurricane Half, not really basing that on anything, just what I believe

I hope that your prediction is right! My wife told me last night that if I lose any more weight that I will become less attractive to her! So I better sacrifice a little time on the clock and put some lbs on? But I feel good at this weight, 145-150? Can you tell a difference in your racing when your weight is up or down?

Hey hey hey!! In my defense, lets get this straight. I simply said that I don't like when men are too skinny and scrawny and that you were getting too skinny. I like my hubby to have muscle and some substance to him. I just said that it is unattractive to me!! I would hope that your feelings would be the same toward me but nope, men like their women lean and thin!! Oh how nice things would be if the situation would just reverse itself here!!! I think you are attractive honey, Always have, Always will :)

I don't want to get in the middle of the discussion between you and your wife. I just know that the Little Buddha gives me plenty of substance. For me my best racing was when I was around 133-135, but that was also in college when I was training a lot more seriously. When I took a break from running and got busy working on houses and doing other types of physical labor it seems like I gained more weight and got bigger and probably stronger, though I've never been attractive, so that was never an issue. I actually posted something last year right before St. George on how I thought I could predict my marathon time based on my weight. If you remember what do you think you weighed last fall when you ran the marathon?

From TylerS on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 16:23:00 from 66.29.160.130

Dustin I weighed 142 when I raced St. George last year. So if the weather slowed me doen 8-9 minutes then your theory would be true? Because I ran 2:51:00? I think that I feel better when I am around the 145 mark?

Oh, are you back in the office Ty?? Funny, I haven't heard from you at all today since you left at 4:30 this morning but you can talk to Dustin about weight??? Isn't that what I usually do?? JK :) Glad you made it home safe. I am stepping out of this conversation for now!!

From TylerS on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 16:44:29 from 66.29.160.130

Yes honey I did make it back into the office. I have been meaning to call you :) Sorry. No turkeys killed today! But we did find them.

From Dustin on Thu, May 07, 2009 at 20:10:01 from 209.33.192.10

Yeah my theory isn't based on anything more than a few marathons that I have ran. I just have this belief that I won't be able to run under 2:40 until I get my weight under 140. Even though I'm weighing 145 right now I still don't think I could run St. George right now much faster than 2:50. I don't really know what to expect at Ogden next week, just hoping to have a fun time mainly.

Hey, Tyler----Scott is in the same boat as you. I will seriously sue him for breach of contract if he loses any more weight!! You two can be in the dog house together! You may be fast dogs, but you will be dogs without a....wife! (I was going to use the proper female dog term there, but did not want to get kicked off the blog!)

From TylerS on Wed, May 13, 2009 at 16:21:14 from 66.29.160.130

I am glad that you didn't use the real female word! I am excited to see what Scott will do on Saturday! Tell him good luck!

OH!!!!! I like your new blog title, and for once I know the movie it came from!!!
